Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026 Effective: August 9, 2026

AI Voice turns text into speech and lets you change your voice on iPhone, for entertainment. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

TL;DR: AI voices are synthetic — not real people, and no real person's voice, name or likeness is claimed. Content used for generation is deleted from our servers after it is delivered. Recordings you keep stay on your device. We use Amplitude for product analytics. We do not sell your data. The app is only for regions where it is offered.

Who is responsible

Data controller: the AI Voice team, the independent operator of the AI Voice app. The legal seller of record is shown on the app’s App Store listing.

Email: support@bestvoice.app

Website: bestvoice.app

AI Voice is an entertainment app. This policy explains what it collects, why, and how we protect it. What you may and may not do with the app is covered separately in the Terms of Use.

Where the app is offered

We offer AI Voice only in the countries and App Store storefronts where it is listed, and this policy is written for those regions.

If the app is not available where you are, you may not use it, and you must not use a VPN, a proxy, or an Apple Account registered to another country to reach it. We do not design our processing around the laws of countries where we do not offer the service, and we cannot guarantee that it meets them. Anyone who reaches the app that way does so without our permission and entirely at their own risk. See section 3 of the Terms of Use. We may block access from regions we do not serve.

What data we collect

Content you submit for generation

Text you enter for text-to-speech, and audio you record or import for the voice changer. This content is used only to produce your result and is not kept on our servers after generation (see retention below).

Microphone access

The voice changer needs microphone permission, which iOS asks for the first time you use it. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. We do not listen in the background and do not record unless you start a recording yourself.

Usage analytics (Amplitude)

We use Amplitude to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This may include:

  • Which screens and features you open
  • App events such as generation starts and exports
  • Device type, OS version, and app version
  • Country or region derived from IP address (not GPS)
  • Anonymous device or installation identifiers

Amplitude’s privacy policy: amplitude.com/privacy.

Subscriptions

Purchase status, plan, and renewal dates. Apple handles all payments. We never see your card or payment details.

What we do not collect

We do not require your name, postal address, phone number, contacts, photo library, or precise location to use the app. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. If a future version ever needs to, iOS will ask you first through the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and nothing happens unless you allow it.

Voice content and retention

Generation is temporary on our side. Text and audio sent for processing are used to return your result, then deleted from our servers after generation. They are not stored for later reuse, profiling, or model training.

Recordings stay on your device. Audio you save, record, or export in the app remains on your iPhone unless you choose to share it elsewhere. Uninstalling the app removes local files.

Analyticsfrom Amplitude are retained according to our Amplitude project settings and Amplitude’s practices, solely to improve the product.

Purchase records may be kept as long as required for accounting and tax obligations.

Support and rights correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and to show that we handled it.

AI voices are not real people

Voices in AI Voice are synthetic and exist for entertainment. They are not recordings of real individuals, not voice clones of specific people, not trained on any identifiable person’s voice, and not endorsed by any celebrity or public figure. Any resemblance to a real person’s delivery style is stylistic — the way an impression is — and not a recording or clone of that person.

We claim no ownership of, and assert no right in, any real person’s voice, name, image, likeness, or trademark, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any celebrity, brand, studio, or rights holder. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Because no real person’s voice is used, the app does not create voiceprints and does not process biometric data for the purpose of identifying anyone.

If you think your voice or likeness is involved

Email support@bestvoice.app with “Rights request” in the subject line and tell us what you found. We aim to reply within 2 business days and, where a complaint is credible, to remove or rename the item within 5 business days while we look into it — voluntarily, and without that being any admission of wrongdoing. The full procedure is in section 10 of the Terms of Use.

Why we collect this data

  • Contract performance — process your text or audio to deliver generated speech, and manage Premium access.
  • Legitimate interests — Amplitude analytics and diagnostics to fix bugs and improve features; keeping the app secure and free of abuse; handling complaints and defending legal claims.
  • Legal obligations — keep necessary subscription and transaction records.

Who we share data with

We share the minimum needed with:

  • Speech providers — receive content only long enough to generate and return audio, then it is deleted.
  • Amplitude — usage analytics as described above.
  • Apple — payments, subscriptions, and receipt validation.
  • Authorities or advisers — only where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use your submitted text or recordings for advertising, and we do not build a marketing profile from your content. We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law, you may also have the right to know what we collect, to delete or correct it, to opt out of any sale or sharing — we do neither — and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Email support@bestvoice.app to exercise these rights. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Local recordings and exports: delete them in the app or by removing the app from your device.

Children’s privacy

AI Voice is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact support@bestvoice.app and we will delete it.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to systems that process generation requests is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to risk your rights, we will notify affected users and the relevant authority as required by law.

International transfers

Processors such as Amplitude or speech providers may handle data outside your country, including the United States. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page before they take effect.
