Terms of Use
Last updated: August 9, 2026 Effective: August 9, 2026
The agreement that covers AI Voice — what the app is for, where it may be used, what the voices are and are not, and how subscriptions work.
TL;DR: The app is for entertainment only. The voices are synthetic — we claim no real person's voice, name or likeness, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone. If the app is not available in your region, you may not use it, and a VPN does not change that. If something looks wrong to you, email us and we will fix it fast.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and the AI Voice team (“we”, “us”, “the operator”) covering the AI Voice iOS application and this website (bestvoice.app). By downloading, opening, or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
Three points matter more than the rest, so they come first: the app is for entertainment only, it may only be used where it is officially available, and no voice in it belongs to, imitates by licence, or is endorsed by any real person.
2. Entertainment use only
AI Voice is a consumer entertainment product. Everything you create with it is for entertainment, humour, creative, and personal expression purposes only. There is no other permitted purpose, and no other purpose is intended, advertised, or supported.
You must not use the app or its output:
- in any setting where a listener could reasonably take the audio for a genuine recording of a real person, unless you clearly say it is AI-generated;
- for identity verification, biometric enrolment, or to access any voice-secured account or system;
- as evidence, testimony, an official statement, a news report, a public safety or emergency message, or any communication presented as authentic;
- for medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice, or in any situation where a mistake could cause injury, financial loss, or legal consequences;
- in any automated, safety-critical, or life-critical system of any kind.
Generated speech is synthetic and may be inaccurate, distorted, or simply wrong. Do not rely on it for anything that matters. Where you publish output that could be mistaken for a real recording, you must label it as AI-generated — several jurisdictions and most large platforms now require this, and that obligation is yours, not ours.
3. Where the app may be used — no VPN workarounds
AI Voice is offered only in the App Store storefronts where it is actually listed, and only where doing so is lawful. Availability varies by country and can change at any time.
If the app is not available in your country or region, you are not permitted to use it. No licence is granted to you at all. A region where the app is not offered is not an oversight to be worked around — it is a place where we do not offer the service.
You therefore must not use a VPN, proxy, DNS or SmartDNS service, Tor, a relay, a jailbroken or modified device, a re-signed or sideloaded build, a third-party installer, an Apple Account registered to a country you do not live in, or any other method to obtain, install, open, pay for, or continue using the app from a region where it is not offered.
Doing any of that is a material breach of these terms. In that case the licence in section 5 never came into effect; your use of the app is unauthorised; we may block, suspend, or terminate access immediately and without notice; we are under no obligation to provide support or a refund; and you use the app entirely at your own risk and are solely responsible for any consequence, including any breach of the law of the country you are actually in.
You are also responsible for your own local law. Rules on synthetic voice, AI-generated media, impersonation, recording, and publication differ widely and some countries restrict or prohibit them. If the app — or what you would make with it — is unlawful where you are, you must not use it. The app is not offered to anyone located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, or to any person on a restricted-party list.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use AI Voice. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf and accepts responsibility for your use of it.
5. Licence
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use AI Voice on Apple devices that you own or control, in a region where the app is offered, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the app, nor rent, lease, sublicense, or resell access to it.
6. Subscriptions and billing
AI Voice is free to download and includes optional auto-renewing Premium subscriptions. Current pricing is shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate of the plan you selected.
- Manage and cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. A subscription bought through an account registered to a region where the app is not offered (see section 3) does not create any entitlement, and we cannot refund it — only Apple can.
7. The voices are synthetic — nobody real is being claimed
Every voice in AI Voice is an original synthetic creation. Voices are described by archetype — a movie-trailer read, a documentary hush, a keynote pause, a regional accent — because what the app offers is a style of delivery, not a person.
No voice in the app is a recording of, a clone of, trained on the voice of, licensed from, authorised by, or endorsed by any real person, living or dead.
We claim no ownership of, and assert no right in, any real person’s voice, name, image, likeness, persona, performance, catchphrase, or trademark. Nothing in the app or on this site is intended to suggest otherwise, and nothing here should be read as such a claim.
Where a synthetic voice happens to resemble a recognisable manner of speaking, that resemblance is stylistic — the same way an impression, a caricature, or a parody is stylistic — and it is offered for entertainment, comment, and amusement. It is not a representation that any particular individual is involved.
Marketing, labelling, publishing, or otherwise passing off output as the genuine voice of a named real person is a breach of these terms and is your responsibility alone.
If you think a voice, a name, or anything else in the app crosses a line, we want to hear about it and we will move quickly — see section 10.
8. No affiliation, no endorsement, no third-party rights claimed
AI Voice is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to any celebrity, public figure, artist, performer, voice actor, character, film studio, broadcaster, record label, game publisher, brand, or rights holder.
All product names, company names, trademarks, service marks, and registered trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Where any such name appears anywhere in connection with the app — in a user review, a search listing, a comparison, or a description of a style — it is used only for identification, description, or commentary. Such use does not imply any ownership, licence, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.
We do not sell, licence, or offer any real person’s voice or likeness, and we do not accept requests to recreate a specific identifiable individual.
9. Acceptable use — no illegal activity
You must not use AI Voice, or any audio you generate with it, for any unlawful purpose. Without limitation, you agree that you will not:
- commit, plan, or assist any crime or other illegal act under the law that applies to you;
- impersonate a real person, or create audio that a reasonable listener would believe is a genuine recording of a specific identifiable individual;
- produce content intended to defraud, including voice phishing, social engineering, or defeating voice-based authentication;
- create political disinformation, fabricated statements attributed to real people, or synthetic media designed to deceive about real events;
- harass, threaten, defame, bully, or sexually exploit any person, or generate sexual content involving minors;
- record, upload, or transform another person’s voice without that person’s informed consent, or in breach of any recording or wiretapping law that applies to you;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights, or upload material you do not have the right to use;
- breach the rules of any platform on which you publish output, including its synthetic-media disclosure requirements;
- circumvent technical limits, geographic restrictions, or usage limits, automate access, or extract voice models or audio for the purpose of training other systems.
You are solely responsible for the text and audio you submit, for the audio you generate, and for everywhere you publish it. We do not pre-screen output and cannot review what you do with it. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for any violation of this section, and we may report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.
10. Complaints and takedowns — we act fast
We would rather fix a problem in days than argue about it for months. If you are a rights holder, a performer, an agency, a brand owner, or simply a person who believes something in the app touches your voice, name, likeness, or work, write to support@bestvoice.app with “Rights request” in the subject line.
Please include, as far as you can:
- what you found — the voice name, screen, page, or link, with a screenshot or recording if you have one;
- who you are, and what right you hold, or a statement that the voice, likeness, or persona is your own;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and contact details we can reply to.
What we commit to. We aim to acknowledge every rights request within 2 business days and, where a complaint is credible, to remove, rename, or disable the item in question within 5 business days while we look into it. We would rather take something down first and discuss it afterwards. Any such removal is voluntary and precautionary, and is not an admission of infringement, liability, or wrongdoing of any kind.
The same channel and the same speed apply to copyright complaints, right-of-publicity complaints, trademark complaints, defamation complaints, and requests from individuals who believe their own voice has been imitated. If you sent a notice and we removed something you believe was in fact permitted, reply to the same thread and we will reconsider. Users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others will lose access.
You can also raise an issue through Apple’s App Store reporting tools, but email reaches us faster.
11. Your content and output rights
You keep ownership of the text and recordings you put into the app. You grant us only the limited licence needed to process that content and deliver your audio back to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Generation content is not retained on our servers after delivery; saved recordings remain on your device.
You confirm that you hold every right needed for the content you submit, including the consent of any person whose voice you record or upload.
Subject to your compliance with these terms, audio you generate on an active Premium subscription may be used commercially, including in monetised video, client work, and advertising, with no watermark and no attribution requirement. Audio generated on the free tier is for personal, non-commercial use. In both cases, the entertainment-only limits in section 2 and the acceptable-use rules in section 9still apply, and any permission we give does not extend to a use that infringes someone else’s rights.
12. Our intellectual property
The app, the website, the AI Voice name and logo, the voice models, and all associated software and design remain our property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of them to you.
13. Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, voices, regions, or the app itself at any time, including where a complaint, a legal requirement, or our own judgement makes it sensible to do so. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and generation may be subject to fair-use limits. Removing a voice does not entitle you to a refund of a subscription that continues to provide the rest of the service.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated audio will meet your requirements, be accurate, be free of artefacts, or be lawful or suitable for any particular use in your country — that judgement is yours. Nothing produced by the app is professional advice of any kind. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here affects a consumer’s mandatory statutory rights.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, reputation, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the app — including any claim brought against you because of audio you generated, published, or used outside the entertainment purpose set out in section 2. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, damages, fines, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the app in breach of these terms. This applies in particular to any claim brought by a third party — including a performer, a rights holder, a brand, or a regulator — in connection with audio you generated, published, or distributed, with any use outside the entertainment purpose in section 2, and with any use from a region where the app is not offered.
17. Apple as a third-party beneficiary
This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and in the event of any failure to conform to a warranty, Apple’s sole obligation is to refund the purchase price. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory compliance, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
18. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms — in particular section 2 (entertainment use), section 3 (region), or section 9 (acceptable use) — or if we are required to do so. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections 7, 8, 11, and 14 to 16, continue to apply.
19. Talk to us first
If you have a problem with the app, email support@bestvoice.app before starting any formal proceeding, and give us 30 days to put it right. In our experience almost everything is fixable this way. Any dispute must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a claimant or class member in a class, collective, or representative action, to the extent that waiver is permitted by the law that applies to you. Any claim must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to it, unless your local law requires a longer period.
20. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of AI Voice is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that country have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings there.
Questions about these terms: support@bestvoice.app. Rights and takedown requests: see section 10.
21. General
Changes.We may update these terms as the app and the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the app.
Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, it is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force.
No waiver. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a transfer of the app or the business.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the app, and replace any earlier version. They are written in English; a translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version prevails.
